P36 An audit of standardised (NEON) PN use in a tertiary NICU

The most vulnerable patients on NICU are our extreme preterm babies who require various mechanisms of support during the beginnings their lives. One method is provision parenteral nutrition (PN) to these patients. 1 NICE recommends use standardised PN for neonates, 2 choice at this Trust NEON, which was introduced in May 2018. Local guidelines have specific indications PN, and management electrolyte glucose disturbances. 3 Our NHS Foundation a tertiary with specialism neonates requiring surgical gastrointestinal issues uses both bespoke PN. aim audit discover if were receiving NEON right time, any changes followed recommendations local guidelines.
